Justin Timberlake has publicly revealed that he has been diagnosed with Lyme disease. The announcement came via a lengthy Instagram post on Thursday, July 31, 2025, shortly after he concluded his "Forget Tomorrow" world tour.

In his post, Timberlake described the disease as "relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically." He explained that his diagnosis helped him understand the "massive amount of nerve pain," "crazy fatigue," and "sickness" he experienced while on tour. Despite considering stopping, he ultimately decided to continue performing, stating that the joy of being on stage "far outweighs the fleeting stress" his body was feeling.

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection transmitted to humans through the bite of infected black-legged ticks. The disease can cause a wide range of symptoms, including fever, fatigue, headaches, joint pain, and in many cases, a "bull's-eye" rash. If left untreated, it can lead to more serious complications affecting the joints, heart, and nervous system.

Timberlake joins a list of other celebrities who have also been diagnosed with Lyme disease, including Avril Lavigne, Justin Bieber, and Shania Twain.
